This Japanese Magomitsu nail puller is a traditional tool handcrafted in Miki (Hyōgo), a region renowned for its toolmaking for centuries. The craftsman makes each piece by hand, meticulously adapting the shape and finish.
The model shown is of the Tsurushugata type, literally “crane neck shape,” a curved geometry that offers excellent leverage while allowing precise access to tight spaces. The tip is of the Heikunuki Obira type: a flat nail puller, designed to cleanly remove nails without damaging the wood.
