This Japanese hammer handle is made from Kamatsuka wood , a wood traditionally used by stonemasons in Japan.

The Japanese term Genno refers to a traditional Japanese hammer used in woodworking and stone carving.
This product consists solely of the handle , intended to be mounted on a Genno hammer head.

Kamatsuka wood is renowned for its hardness , but especially for its natural flexibility , which reduces vibrations transmitted to the hand upon impact. This characteristic makes it an excellent choice for tasks requiring repetitive striking, while minimizing fatigue.

Thick pieces of this wood are rare, which enhances the artisanal value of this handle.

Each handle is made from natural wood, making each piece unique in grain, color, and weight.
