The Hiroki Funate Genno Japanese hammer is a high-end artisanal hammer, hand-forged in Sanjo (Niigata), a region renowned for its expertise in manufacturing traditional Japanese tools. Its more elongated and refined Funate shape offers excellent stability, perfectly controlled striking, and great precision for joinery, carpentry, and chisel work.

Made by blacksmith Hiroki Aida, who trained with master Ko Saburo Hasegawa, this Genno benefits from remarkable balance and exceptional forging quality. The weights are indicated in grams to facilitate selection, while corresponding to the traditional Japanese values expressed in monme. Each hammer is entirely handmade, making each piece unique with slight variations in dimensions and finish.
