The Mame Hira Kanna is a compact Japanese plane designed for precision work, small areas, fine adjustments, and detail control.
This series, branded with the wholesaler name Hiroharu, is manufactured by Yamamoto Kanna Seisakusho. Each blade bears the "Horaku" stamp of master craftsman Yamamoto Yoshihiro, guaranteeing authenticity and traditional craftsmanship.

Aogami #1 steel offers excellent edge retention and a very fine cutting edge, ideal for demanding woods. The Japanese white oak sole, prepared to approximately 24 to 27 mm thick, ensures stability, durability, and precision during work.
Like all traditional Japanese planes, this tool is not ready for use out of the box: sharpening the blade and adjusting the sole are necessary to achieve optimal performance.
