This two-bladed Tsukuriganna made by Suketsuna is a traditional Japanese plane intended for wood preparation work : straightening, fitting and shaping before finishing.

The two-blade configuration (main blade + counter-blade) allows for better control of the wood grain , reduces tear-out, and ensures a more stable cut, even on difficult wood species. This type of plane is particularly appreciated by carpenters and cabinetmakers for the intermediate stages of their work.

The three proposed variants share the same use and design ; only the blade width and sole type differ in order to adapt to specific needs (narrow areas, versatile work or greater material removal).

Like all authentic Japanese planes, this tool is delivered unadjusted : the blade and sole must be adjusted by the user before use.
This is a Kuradashi : a product from a wholesaler's old stock. Some models are no longer manufactured. Minor signs of age may be present; these are taken into account in the price.
