The Yubidō Nijō-Kama Kehiki Japanese marking gauge is a double-bladed marking gauge ( Nijō-Kama = two sickle-shaped blades ), designed for extremely precise marking. The two blades allow you to simultaneously draw two perfectly parallel lines , ideal for mortises, dovetails, tenons, or any joinery work.
The large model offers excellent stability thanks to its solid wood body, available in three wood types: shirogashi (Japanese white oak), akagashi (Japanese red oak), and kokutan (ebony). The 150 mm long blades ensure a clean, tear-free, and perfectly even cut—a professional tool for fine woodworking and cabinetmaking.
This model is optimized for right-handed users , with natural support against the edge of the piece of wood.
This Japanese marking gauge is ideal for parallel marking when making joints (tenons, grooves, dovetails), furniture making, drawing fine lines, transferring dimensions, and any woodworking task requiring high precision. The double blades allow you to create two perfectly parallel lines for mortises or complex joints.
