The Mame Hira Kanna is a compact Japanese plane designed for precision work, small surfaces, fine adjustments and detail control.
This series, bearing the wholesaler name Hiroharu , is manufactured by Yamamoto Kanna Seisakusho . Each blade bears the “Horaku” hallmark of master craftsman Yamamoto Yoshihiro , guaranteeing authenticity and traditional craftsmanship.

Aogami No. 1 steel offers excellent edge retention and a very fine cutting edge , ideal for demanding woods. The Japanese white oak sole, prepared to approximately 24 to 27 mm thick , ensures stability, durability, and precision during use.
Like all traditional Japanese planes, this tool is delivered not ready to use : sharpening the blade and adjusting the sole are necessary to achieve optimal performance.
