This 240mm Japanese Dozuki saw, designed by Hishika Industry under the name Jiro Bessho , is a professional tool forged to deliver extremely fine, clean, and controlled cuts. Each blade is individually hand-hardened, resulting in high hardness and excellent edge retention. The rigid backing ensures high precision, making this saw ideal for fine joinery and work requiring perfectly straight lines.
This model uses a replaceable blade system, ensuring exceptional longevity: when the blade becomes dull, simply replace it instead of buying a new saw. The precision of the cut, combined with perfectly balanced tension, makes it a highly valued tool among Japanese carpenters and high-end furniture makers. Hishika is renowned for producing some of the finest hand-hardened blades still available today.
The range also includes a Hozohiki version, a saw specifically designed for longitudinal tenon cuts. This equally precise variant allows for working with traditional joints without splintering or deflection. Both models are available as a complete body or just the blade, allowing you to adapt the tool to your workshop according to your needs and budget.
