This 70mm precision saw, made by Mitsukawa Juntaro, is a ramma-biki , a Japanese saw designed for extremely fine work.
Its very slender profile and sharp point allow for delicate cuts in the narrowest areas, such as openwork patterns or decorative details.

The blade undergoes a specific heat treatment, giving it exceptional hardness while maintaining flexibility. The spine is thinned to reduce resistance during cutting, providing an outstandingly smooth glide. The teeth are calibrated for perfectly straight cuts and a clean, precise finish.

The paulownia (kiri) wood handle is lightweight, sweat-resistant and comfortable for extended use.
It is a precision tool intended for carpenters, restorers, lantern makers, woodworkers and creators of decorative patterns.
