This Japanese Bozume plane, made by Etsuei, is a specialized tool designed for shaping small curves, rounded chamfers, and very fine decorative profiles. The term " Bozume " refers to a miniature plane used for working with extremely precise details, ideal for cabinetmaking, restoring antique objects, making instruments, and for all finishing work requiring great delicacy.

This model comes from old stock, meaning it has never been used, but may show slight signs of age or natural oxidation. The plane body is made of Japanese white oak, approximately 180 mm long, with a thin blade available in various widths. Like all traditional Japanese planes, it requires initial sharpening and adjustment of the wooden body before use.

The available widths— from 4.5 mm to 10.5 mm —allow the tool to be adapted to various detailed tasks. The smaller sizes are suitable for tight curves and very fine patterns, while the wider sizes allow for smoother decorative work. As each piece is handmade, slight variations may occur, making each plane unique.
