The Japanese Left Eiyu Oire Nomi chisel is hand-forged by Nagasuke Iwasaki in Miki (Hyogo), a city renowned for its tradition of forging woodworking tools. Made from Shirogami #2 (White Paper Steel), it offers a precise edge, excellent ease of sharpening, and is perfectly suited for joinery, mortises, and cabinetmaking.
Its handle, made of Japanese red oak, effectively absorbs mallet shocks while ensuring a comfortable grip. Like all traditional Japanese chisels, it comes with rust protection on the blade and requires sharpening and adjustment before first use to achieve optimal performance.
