The Honmammon Nakauchi 48mm Japanese chisel is hand-forged in the Banshu region of Japan for carpentry, cabinet making, and precision finishing. Its blade, made of Shirogami #2 steel (White Paper Steel), offers exceptional sharpness, excellent cutting quality, and easy sharpening, making it ideal for wide grooves, joint adjustments, and surface dressing.
Its traditional design combines a carbon steel core with a laminated soft iron body for an optimal balance between performance and durability. Like all handcrafted Japanese chisels, it is delivered not ready for use and requires sharpening and adjustment before the first use.
