The Hirama 12mm Honmammon Japanese wood chisel is hand-forged in Japan for carpentry, cabinet making, and precision mortising. Its blade, made from Shirogami #2 steel (White Paper Steel) laminated onto a soft iron body, offers exceptional sharpness, excellent cutting quality, and easy sharpening.
Its Hirama profile, with a neck perfectly aligned with the back of the blade, improves precision during deep hollowing, technical adjustments, and straight recesses. Like all traditional Japanese chisels, it is supplied not ready for use and requires sharpening and adjustment before first use.
