The Hirama-chi Oire Nomi 9mm Japanese chisel is designed for carpentry and cabinet-making work requiring high precision. Made in Japan according to the traditional lamination process, it combines a Shirogami #2 steel blade with a soft iron body to offer a fine edge and excellent ease of sharpening.
Its thinner blade than a classic Oire Nomi and its neck aligned with the back serve as a natural guide for cutting narrow and deep mortises. This model is suitable for delicate adjustments and technical joints. It is delivered not ready for use and requires sharpening and adjustment before use.
