This Japanese case for wire cutter scissors (Saya) from the Kibuna series is an original accessory developed by Matsuoka Fishing , designed for herabuna fishing and fine cutting work requiring speed and precision.
Inspired by the Japanese sword sheath (saya) , the case adopts a slightly curved shape , offering a natural grip and allowing the scissors to be taken out and put away with a fluid movement , even at the water's edge.
It is made from Japanese Yamazakura cherry wood , a traditional wood prized in Japan for its warm hue , fine grain and elegant aging .
The different pieces of wood are carefully assembled from the same wood species , ensuring visual harmony and highlighting the natural beauty of the grain.
