This set of Japanese line-cutting scissors with Hagoita case is part of the Kibuna series, developed by Matsuoka Fishing .
This is a pocket-style case, without a lid , designed for immediate access to scissors when fishing or doing fine cutting work.

Its design is inspired by the Japanese Hagoita racket , traditionally used at New Year's.
This distinctive shape, exclusive to the Kibuna series, allows for quick extraction , while offering a natural grip .

The case is made of speckled maple , a wood prized for its fine grain punctuated with unique natural patterns . Each piece has a different visual appearance, making each case truly unique.
The wood is selected and worked to reveal the full depth of its grain, and it develops a natural patina over time.

The set comes with 90mm Belmont Japanese wire cutters , made in Echigo Sanjō , a region renowned for its metalwork.
