This 24mm Nakauchi Japanese chisel is one of the standard professional models in the Honmammon range. Made in Japan in the Banshu region, it is hand-forged according to local tradition.
Its Shirogami No. 2 white carbon steel blade, laminated onto a soft iron body, offers a very fine edge and excellent sharpening ease. The Nakauchi profile (medium, thin, and elongated blade) is distinguished by its slim and slender shape, particularly suited to precision work.
It excels at cleanly cutting grooves, fitting joints, and smoothing thin surfaces . It is ideal for woods like cherry or Japanese cypress, which are neither too hard nor too soft, allowing for clean and controlled work.
