This professional Japanese Hirama-chi Oire Nomi 9mm chisel is a high-end standard model designed for precision work. Made in Japan, it combines Shirogami No. 2 white carbon steel and soft iron , according to the Japanese tradition of rolling.
The Hirama-chi model has a thinner blade than a classic oire nomi and a collar perfectly aligned with the back of the blade. This design allows the collar to be used as a natural guide, ensuring high precision when cutting narrow and deep mortises .
