This professional Japanese Hirama-chi Oire Nomi 15mm chisel represents the high-end standard model in the Honmammon range. Made in Japan according to traditional craftsmanship, it combines Shirogami No. 2 white carbon steel and laminated soft iron , guaranteeing an extremely fine edge and excellent durability.
The Hirama-chi model is distinguished by a thinner blade than that of a classic oire nomi and by a collar perfectly aligned with the back of the blade. This design allows the collar to be used as a natural guide during work, offering high precision for cutting deep mortises and demanding woodworking tasks .
With its width of 15mm, it is a versatile dimension, ideal for traditional joinery, precise adjustments and solid wood structural work.
