This Japanese Sotomaru chisel is an outside gouge designed for woodcarving, hollowing out rounded grooves, and precisely shaping small pieces. Its inverted design, with the cutting edge positioned on the outside, offers a stable and controlled cut, ideal for working hard-to-reach areas and creating clean shapes with excellent control.
Made from HSS (High Speed Steel), it ensures excellent edge retention and high wear resistance. Its sakura (Japanese cherry) handle guarantees a comfortable grip, while its particular geometry also allows for creating chamfers, refining reliefs, and working curved surfaces with precision.
