The Kagi-gata Hishika Japanese scraper is a precision tool handcrafted in Japan by Hishika Industry and signed Bessho Jirō. Made from high-carbon steel from Japanese saw manufacturing, it is designed for cleaning grooves, rebates, shallow mortises, and other hard-to-reach areas. Its hooked shape (Kagi-gata) allows for precise work without damaging adjacent surfaces.
With two cutting lengths of 20 mm and 17 mm, it offers excellent control for restoration work, traditional joinery, and cabinet making. Each scraper is handcrafted and features the unique characteristics of a Japanese artisan tool.
