This set of 10 Japanese Oire Nomi chisels is hand-forged in Japan by Toshiaki Ouchi, a fourth-generation blacksmith. Designed for joinery, cabinet making, and traditional woodworking, it is made from Shirogami #2 (White Paper Steel), renowned for its exceptional sharpness, ease of sharpening, and cutting precision.

The Japanese white oak handles effectively absorb mallet blows, while the paulownia wood case protects the tools during transport and storage. Like all traditional Japanese chisels, this set is delivered not ready for use and requires sharpening and adjustment before first use.
