The Motonagakuni Japanese plane sole flattening plane is a specialized tool designed to flatten and adjust the sole of Japanese planes (dai). Its Isuka blade made of Aogami steel, mounted at an angle, offers a smooth, precise cut perfectly suited for this adjustment work.

Made with a Japanese white oak body, it guarantees stability and precision. Like traditional Japanese tools, it is delivered not ready for use and requires sharpening the blade and adjusting the sole before use. Each piece is handmade in Japan.
